Hi guys ......

So after a day's wait and problems .... I took my mobile to sony's service centre. .... And as I expected they confirmed that the SOLID LINES in photos were caused by a faulty "CAMERA MODULE "

They also confirmed that the damage was a PERMANANT DAMAGE

Anyway sony will replace my camera module as my set is under warranty

So from today onwards no more clicking ......

Said it may take atleast 3-4 days ........

anyway bad times for me ......

Soon you phone will be fix:)
3,4 days are no big problem. Be patient
Good luck!!!
Do you definitely think that number1 modification is the source of your problem? Or maybe this is only unlucky incident

hi guys

just wanted 2 convey this 2 all in this forum .......

MY CAMERA FAILURE WAS NOT DUE TO THE MODDED DRIVER SONY'S SERVICE MEN TOLD THAT IT WAS A VERY RARE CASE AND WAS DUE TO BAD CAMERA MODULE IN MY PHONE

Anyway nothing 2 worry as I would get it replaced 4 free as I have warranty........

This is normal, as i didnt changed version number (it is just a detail),
but version is really 2.4
Just record a video in a sunny area, you will see the difference !

Would it be possible to create a driver that just briefly flashes the led flash just before the shot is taken? Somewhat like the system most nokia phones seem to use...

It'd be nice if this was enabled in 'twilight portrait mode'... having the bright LEDs shining in your face for 3-4 secs while someone takes a shot just sucks.

I know that the LEDs need to be on for the cam to focus properly but the twilight portrait mode will work fine if the focal length were just fixed at 1.5 meters or so.

And just to confirm:

camdrivers go in ifs/settings/camera
and acoustics go in ifs/settings/acoustic

Ok I've uploaded the driver that's supposed to give me 24 fps video and the w880i's acoustics using far, disconnected and the phone's working fine.

My cam driver version still shows up as 2.3 (My phone is R6BC002) and I can't seem to spot any difference in the FPS... Its night here so it might be defaulting to a lower fps but I don't think that thats the case... Is there any way to check if my acoustics and cam driver have indeed been uploaded properly?

by night you wont see any change in fps...
high fps needs sun !
showing 2.4 version is just cosmetic, and i didnt changed it
(but i will next time)
