I was so hoping the rumours that it WASN'T going to be launched were to prove unfounded...but alas, this 'delay' has cast a gloom over the start of my week.
Not exactly a Monday to remember for P-series fans...

I think it's software... it will have UIQ 3.0 which is not able to play UIQ 2.0/2.1 programmes... If they present it now and release it 2 months after today you will get the 7710 syndrome. Good phone but no apps.. also due to the problem you will need a license to produce apps for symbian 9.0

I'm sure we will start seeing specs and new P phones for programmers in the next few weeks.
Introducing a new P phone (with UIQ 3) is not the same has was introducing the P900 or the P910.
If they don't start releasing specs, hardware and an emulator, no one will make software for this new phones before release in 2006 !

I think that SE have alreaddy got the release wrong, by delaying it! They only had to show a mock up and offically say that it will be released in sept as all this sept show date is, is speculation there has been no offical word on the matter since before christmas when they said the next p series would be due out in summer.

At least we have something firm in that September seems a lot more likely than June 13th was.
