yheeeeeee! got myself a t290i! got rid of my moto e398!!!! i need a basic phone thats it! whoooh! really glad to be back in se again! but i'm kinda worrying that i chose the wrong color... i chose white over black... i think i should've bought the black one... the white gets dirty VERY EASILY!

Relating to the speaker phone trick, there have been improvments over time. Antocsm has told me that it works even when the pause is removed ie the tone consists only of start and stop repeat functions set to infinite. This indeed works and thanks to antocsm for letting up know that. Since i was free (had nothing better to do:-D), i tried to delete everything from the tone ie there are no notes/functions whatsoever. And guess what it works

I still use my T237 (north american version of 230) and T300. The communicam attachment is excellent, much better picture than the T610. Also flashed the T300 with T310 firmware and response time improved greatly.

I am new to the forum. Just recently bought the SE T290i and it is a great phone. The problem lies within polyphonic ringtones. First i tried uploading them and they did not work. The i updated the program and the uploaded ringtones are playing. Now the problem is that i uploaded the same ringtone to my older T310 ( 32 channels ) and the ringtone there is 500% much better than here at T290i ( 32 channels ). Is there something wrong with the phone. I brought it back to the store where they replaced it with a new T290i but the problem persists.
What needs to be done??
