Ok so all those master resets and renaming files confused me a bit.Can anybody tell me how to update my R1L to R1N what do I need to do exactly.BTW my customization:
CDA102338/1 R31A
cxc125953 R1L002
VFE_2
I dont care about various languages I just need good old English and my BT, IRda, Java and Camera to function.
Please help,

man...i'm super pissed right now....a 2mp camera phone with a non-working camera...
i dont want to pay davinci team to fix it...cuz i dont think i should...i mean..its it really my fault to trust se with my phone?? damn it!!!
i'm gona try to back up my contents..n do the master reset thing...since nothing else seems to be working....

i tried master reset...but the install stills messes up...n it skips to 100%
then i get the communication error message

1.i did a master reset-reset all...
2.i did the latest fw update from the somy ericsson website
3.the fw update complete without any problems... no skipping or anything and at the end, it said update successfully completed or something...
4. i clicked ok
5. i turned the phone on and did a master reset again
6. all other languages were bask and video playbak quality is better now, the display is also better...
im so happy!!!

I am going to try a different computer, maybe the problem is some sort of conflict with the usb on my nforce chipset.

When we do a master reset, will all the "factory" sound/images/theme still there? Only my new stuffs will be gone? How did you back up all contacts? Do I need to take out my memory stick to do that? Also, do we need to delete the two files "HL1_125953-HK-MR2_000000_0000_R1N035" (size 703 kb) and "HL1_125955-HK-MR2_000000_0000_R1N035" (size 11,528 kB)?
Most people with HK version works now, but I keep getting the "error in communication". The two differences I can find are the follows:
CXC 125932 R1
D
CDA 102338/8 R
8A
People who update correctly has R1E and R5A

at first i thought it hadn't as i had the communication error when i first tried updating. what i did next was to do a master reset on my half-updated phone, then tried updating again through SEUS. and it worked! great!

mine still doesn' work... i'll try again, but tell me if a did everything right:
1.master reset
2.connect the phone to the usb, and start the update
3.after finishing the update master reset again...
but there's one problem, it still stucks at 49%
