Also what is the comparison between Google Nexus S and SE Arc

And which one is better and why?
Would really appreciate this

No, arc doesn't have NFC and frankly it makes me happy. NFC hasn't taken off yet and it looks like its going to be first in the US, which isn't a big

market.

needs to concentrate on making money so cutting niche features isn't a problem. If NFC gets enough traction they can add it to their H2 flagship with dual core and such, if we can beleive the rumours. And eldar may be totally right about the vivaz2, it beats the specs of the just announced Galaxy Ace which I think will be a competitor.
What does worry me though is rumours of phones with pico projectors and other silly things. I mean Samsung and LG already did them and how well did they do? If they're just doing prototypes to test the stuff fine, but considering it for retail sounds stupid. Maybe if they can double the quarterly sales or something; then maybe it would be ok. But now? I hope for their own sake they keep up the trend of becoming smarter and don't ruin it with a pico projector.

Both phones were announced. They're not rumour anymore. Why here?

OFF Topic but
Head of Developer Program for Sony Ericsson Simon Walker Just Twitted "About to begin my Tokyo travels".
We Knw that There is a SONY event at Japan on JAN27 rumors suggest that PSP2 mite be announced But Why is it that

Developer attending Sony event?? Sounds Fishy Will They Announce Xperia PLAY or PSP2??

very confusing
PSP2 is not related to

that why am wonderin...
I could very well imagine the overall portable PlayStation strategy will be unveiled there, including the PlayStation Pocket platform, which could appear on more products than just PSP2 and Xperia Play. Perhaps the platform is announced on the 27th as part of the PSP2 announcement, but the phone is only hinted at? Or just shown without going into detail besides the PlayStation Pocket platform.

@Indiandawg: can you move it? Are you a moderator?

Just kidding pal.
@mustafabay: I know it doesn't have nfc. What I meant is that this feature hasn't been mentioned here for future

phones.

I really don't care what SE has to do for itself. If it's facing loss or profit, it really does not matter to me.
I have always been buying SE smartphones and currently using X10.
Now I feel, there is a big change in innovation of technology and also the consumer knowledge. The pace in today's technology is too fast. I can't sit and wait for SE to catch up anymore. I want my next device to be something where I can use it anywhere. For a fact, I do travel a lot and I can use NFC in Japan. The point is having a smartphone with cutting edge technology. I really don't think am asking too much as I see a lot of good innovative mobile phones from other manufacturers.
Not that SE cannot do it or whatever, I love SE and I really appreciate their quality smartphones and that's the only reason I'm going to wait for SE to come with Dual core + NFC and god knows what comes out next
I just hope SE delivers it!

January 2011, 27th sounds good because then the surprise at MWC would be the Xperia Neo. Arc is official, Play anounce in january 27th and Duo could be the "hallon". So that would mean that Back2you has right for dualcore 3D and 16mpx, plus the 5.5 inch device. Then I am waiting for mizzle preview of all these sweets phones to chose the one which suit me better.
I

I have 2 friends that work for SonyEricsson and ST-Ericsson here in Sweden!
First: Gonna play with "Hallon" this weekend
Second: We talked a little about the U8500 platform he works with and the info was that it's not really optimized yet. They need to lower power consumtion and some other "greek" I could not understand. He also mentioned that Samsung has really put pressure on ST-Ericsson to deliver the U8500 platform for them to use this spring, with launch already in april/may. He also said that the platform will probably not be ready until Q3. Also SonyEricsson is looking to release dual-core phones but not until Q3.
I have to point out that he works for ST-Ericsson and he does not know all the details since it's all a secret but being involved in the development of U8500 gives him some descent know-how!
So according to him there "might" be a dual core from SE based on the U8500 platform in late summer this year.
The best of all this is that his wife works at SonyEricsson and I will have the chance to play around with "Hallon" all weekend, great fun!
All above is from a discussion we had on the phone, it's my interpretation of the phone call...it's NOT facts, but there might be some substance in it!
Will get back with a short summary of how "hallon" feels like this weekend...
Nice info, thanks. Looking forward to the summary
