But I don't understand why its dying platform.bec the platform has been rejuvenated just now also its main platform for nokia.
And I like rachel too. But it lacks xenon and camera cover.also LED looks so small. And don't find and camera samples.
Or can I wait for xenon android?

SATIO Continuous Movie Playback BATTERY TEST
I played movies back to back on my satio which i bought 15 days back.
Movie Settings: Bitrate 1000 kbps
Audio output through the Headphones
My Satio played non stop for - 4 hour 40 minutes (280 minutes)
I guess if i had used the satio speaker for sound output then it wud hav used more of the battery. But i feel sound effects are better heard on headphones.

LOL why would you want to disable it ? are you using a laptop thats short on battery life ?
@ vegetaleb - its not going to happen. Making themes for S60 is far more complicated and uses a much more detailed and difficult theme creation software.
@ 10123 - well Nokia use Symbian S60 for pretty much every smartphone they have, and currently hold 40% of the total market which is by far much more than any other OS / interface. So its far from a dying platform. Dont think just because you may read people on forums such as this banging on about it going to happen does not mean they're right.

Yes, disabling USB charging would be interesting and was a standard option on UIQ. Otherwise you will not be able to optimize the battery AND use the USB port or always have to charge by the USB-port without disconnecting during charging.
Has anyone found an E-Book-Reader? Mobipocket is not working correctly and neither does zxReader and iSilo for me.

There is many online guides for using Nokia tools for S60 5th Edition themes. Also lookup Tehk7 ... this kid (well early 20's) came out of nowhere and within a year is considered amongst THE BEST themer's for S60 3rd Edition & 5th Edition. He survives this hobby off of donations; his latest work of course costs a bit of $$ but nothing outrageous considering the quality of gradients used in his themes vs some of the majority themers out there that go nuts. Also check out a site site ... I'm sure on their forums there is some kind of solution for Satio users wishing to theme their device.
This Satio is the king of multimedia from SE ... this may change though since the X10 is now officially announced but its still a few months away. It's STILL an amazing piece of kit too - its just that until Symbian^3 we may not see anything significantly different to really enjoy. However, Symbian^2 onwards is for devices based on Cortex A8 platforms - specific to TI OMAP3430.

Ive made S60 themes before. I know how to.
On the standard SE theme creator making themes was fun. Making S60 themes is like painting the garden wall - boring. I prefer S60 to SE's own A200 interface any day of the week, but i wouldnt want to make themes for it !
Btw just tried this Ownskin.com thing Vegetaleb posted in another thread - simple to use but theres no Satio option on the site and when i used 5800 it said it was not compatible. Any reason why ? or am i being dumb and need to use N97 ?

Nope I don't think it's you at all. I think because Nokia uses some weird kind of device certification in their OS builds that even apps have issues running on the same OS version by other manufacturers.
however,
http://www.finestfones.com/20[....]kias-ovi-store-on-samsung.html
^ Nokia Ovi Store, Nokia Maps, and other apps by Nokia work on Satio & OmniaHD (i8910) after following the hacking guide in that link above.
Cheers.

The themes I made is based on N97 because as you said Own Skin didn't implement Satio for now.
Anyway all the N97 themes I tried even from Zedge work nicely on Satio.
About integrating Satio in SE Theme Creator ''it's a possibility'' a SE technician said in SE Developer website, saying the next SE TC will be ready in 3 to 5 weeks. I don't think it will be difficult to do, if they use a solution like Own Skin but with some more customizable elements, specially the different homescreens backgrounds and their icon black bar transparency...
Anyway here is a list of what they should add/fix in next FWs:
-Less jpeg compression (2mb for a 12mp camera is not acceptable)
-Theme effects
-Standby themes fix (no more empty icons)
-MUCH louder sound output
-Give the choice to take away the music widget or replace it by another app
-Symbian version of SE Tracker or at least a working java one (nokia one doesn't have live calories counter)
