the master reset worked for me!

It went from 50% to 100% and camera works again etc...

The 'Master Reset'-Trick works for me.

I did the following;

Backup:
- Copy all contacts to my SIM-Card
- Copy all themes I put on the phone to my PC
- Removed my 1GB MemoryStick Pro Duo

Master Reset:
- Menu -> Settings -> Master Reset -> Reset All
- Enter code 0000
- The Phone said: "Memory Cleared" and restarts by itselfs.
- When it restarts, just turn it off.

Updating:
- Go to SE update site.
- Did the "Recovery Mode"-update
- It went till 39%, then it freezes for like a minute and went to 42%
- Then runs smoothly to around 60% and jumps to 100% and says it was 'Update Complete'.
- Remove battery and put it back
- Turn the phone on
- Do another Master Reset to get all languages back

Now the phone is working again with R1N and camera 4.5

Does anyone have those SEUS update files like EU_1 or EU_2 but R1N035 version? I wanted to let the update process download those R1L files and when it says turn off your phone and pull the cable out then copy the R1N035 files in the sony ericsson update folder and rename them to R1L.Do you think this would be safe?

Has the success of updating the K750 firmware anything to do with internet connection speed?
I mean, those ppl who succeeded were on dialup or broadband? And those who failed?
I am on dialup and have failed despite all attempts. Master resetting also doesnt work.

after doing the master reset...problem still exist...
when i get to around...50%..it skips to 100% and i still get the communication error msg

argh!!!! somebody help mee!!

i have a broadband connection, but i guess it doesn't matter, cause the files are first downloaded in the computer... anyway, i tried master reset, recovery, normal, none of those worked...

i'm from romania, and i have no warranty to my k750, and it costs me 40 euros to fix it... and a don't want to pay it to a service center... yet

I think conn does matter......After the update has gone up to 46% (or wahtever percent befor it sucks), it "searches" for something over the net - u can see ur conn manager - some more files are downloaded.
So what i think is that if these files arent received in time some error occurs - what we see as the communication error.

i'm saying that it doesn't matter, because i have a 20mbps connection, and i doubt the speed is the cause... i'll go to a friend and try...

anyone using dial-up succeded the update?
