It looks like that O2 is trying to release it in stages, this Monday to select clients the following Monday to online clients and the third Monday to O2 shopes, in doing so they are confusing the hell out everyone including their own staff.

My local O2 store in Farnborough (Hampshire) claimed they expect P990s to be in the warehouse on 6th Nov and in the shops a few days later.
The delay may not be an O2 testing or mis-management problem. SE had, from some reports, pre-orders for 1 million P990s so O2 is just waiting for its stock I suspect and that is why they seem to have a phased availability as well.

I am inclined to agree with the stock issue. Many of the operatives have said we are awaiting stock or waiting for SE to release the handset to us etc.
But this phased thing is interesting, I am a select customer and have been told week commencing 30 October, obviously not select enough!!!
Despite their measures to keep me they have started to tell me 30 October.

Just been onto O2 to request my PAC and was surprised that I wasn't encouraged/bribed to stay on. They of course asked the usual questions about why I needed it etc . . . basically CPW can upgrade me but for £210, however if I moved to being billed by CPW but still on the O2 network with the same contract I can get it for under £100.
PAC code will be here in a couple of days, we'll see if O2 have released it by then.

I spoke once AGAIN! to the retention department at o2, one person told me 23rd, and I asked to speak to a senior manager!
The manager said that they have 23rd on the system but have been told directly from sonyericsson that the official date will be 30th.
although it wont be a harm to try on 23rd.....

Have had a high level complaint with them for some months and when I asked about this phone as some form of compensation I was told they would love to give it me in order to help solve the complaint but they have no idea when it's coming in.
I tend to believe them as I'm not trying to barter with them using another company I'm just well.... going due to their bad service and inaccurate billing issue of late.
