Haha, well said. You people need to 'chill'...seriously. Never seen people worked up so much about a release date which obviously isn't down to O2 - it's SE's fault if anyone's.
Now obviously everyone's been waiting for ages but if so then what's a few more days/weeks? I've been hearing all sorts of dodgy things with regards to the P990i's software so I'd rather wait for them to get it fixed - this is the same view I'm taking with the whole PS3 fiasco.

it is NOT released today and it is "any time this week" so have to try every day....

Ahhh, once again O2's left hand doesn't know what it's right hand is doing. I just called, went through to upgrades, told them I'd like a new handset, the P990i please . . . and they said certainly, that'll be £129 on your current tarrif and it'll be delivered to you in a couple of days!!
I'd probably suggest calling back and talking to someone else??? Of coourse this is assuming that the phone actually arrives!!

Hmm, well I've just phoned twice, first one said it wasn't available yet and the second one confirmed that but said that they can allocate me one on the system and as soon as they come in (in the next couple of days..) I'll get a txt with a number to call to get it delivered....done that, waiting for the txt......

odd, I was told when I asked lat week that I couldn't be added to the list to be contacted when the phone was available because the list was full. Do you think that O2 know what they're doing and aren't telling their staff or that the staff know and that they're just making things up in order to try not to annoy the people they are talking to on the phone??

Yeah, the first guy just kinda said sorry not available,next couple of days, so the next time I phoned I asked for the woman who worked out a good deal for me and she said it wasn't available, I said that someone on a Sony Ericson forum had managed to secure one....she then looked at the system and said it was now possible to reserve one, so dunno, just depends who you get and how nicely you talk to them I guess...

available for dispatch.
Please be aware that this date is not guaranteed."
Oh dear, delay for another two weeks again... Maybe retial customers will have more luck???

We are all being told very different things.
I have been told today that I am on the HRM (pre-order) system and that I have been allocated a date of 3 November 2006. Phones often come into O2 on the Friday before the official date, so I would suggest you all assume 6 November 2006 as the official release date. Anyone who gets it sooner, sure is a lucky little punter.
Alternatively phones are being released from this week or next but it is being done on a phased first come first served basis etc. I was told that the HRM pre-order list was closed and has recently re-opened which normally means stock is imminent. Those who have pre-ordered please ring and ask to be given the date on the HRM system next to your name. Post your answers, thanks.
