As I say, I've heard mixed reports about Account Management. I think it might actually depend what billing system you're connected to, although seems it would be good manners to at least let people know they can't use it.

Apart from that, calling CS is the only way to find out how many minutes you've used/got left.

O2 allows tariff changes up to once per month as well, though usually imposes a 3-month no-change-down policy, to allow for bigger handset discounts on higher tariffs.

Cheers!

There does not appear to be anything written in the O2 contract that mentions any need to wait 3 months before downgrading. If you look on the O2 website, it even mentions that if you downgrade in the first 3 months, then you will lose the free 400 texts offer.

This implies that downgrades are possible.

If you get no joy from the CS operator, nor from a supervisor, then you should inform them that you request a downgrade [from today], and you will pursue any overcharge as a result of them not downgrading you to your selected tarriff via trading standards or civil court. Send a email and recorded delivery letter.

Further, if they do not downgrade, and charge you for a higher tarriff, then you could consider the contract null and void, as they have made a material breach.

I notice that the cheapest tarriff is a buisness one for (I think) £11.49 p/m
