For those of you that have already done the conversion and are experiencing slowness, try formatting the internal disk of the phone from the service menu (and post your results). This seems to speed the phone up tremendously!

I just wanted to say to those who are interested in doing this, I just went to Analog's place today and he did flash the phone for me, it is working great, so far everything was good, slow at first but was, oh btw analog the phone is working just the same without having to delete all the predefind stuff. i have to admit im very happy. so for those who want to get it updated, just send it to analog he is a trust worthy guy, i gurantee you this.

no one said how much free ram remains on p900 after a power on, with sman loaded. In sman now it says about 42% free ram(7 mb). After upgrade to p910 how much will remain? still 7 mb or lower?

It depends on what you have loaded on the phone to start up automatically, etc. I have found that the conversion uses about 500k more RAM after startup than the regular P900. In other words, I had a little over 6MB free with a few auto startup apps (keymapper, etc) running in the background.

It definitely isn't anything substantial... just a few kilobytes more...

nice one anlog for making it clear to everyone whats involved i will also offer free flashing back to p900 I only do via post at mo till my new office is open in s.east kent. Turnaround is same day, we have done approx 30-40 conversions with no probs, afew have been a little slow but resetting memory has proved to fix this as anlog has explained.
