@boba, I'm talking about average consumer, not prosumers as most of us, because we look for other things rather than price and looks.

@asterix i see. On a weird way i see some fones, especially latest se models, as they would like to fit the wishes of users almost on a "perfect" way, but sg goes usually wrong: batt, joy, int mem cap, cam etc

That's right, and sometimes manufacturers hate us because we're always complaining about lacks or bugs, or just because we always find weak points on their products.

Yeah, I know those are sky rokett prices, but it's maybe because we're a small market and taxes here are really high, if you import an electronic equipment you got to pay around 40% of the value on taxes.

Fully agree with you @whizkidd, price is an important matter when searching for a phone, and how much to pay is most of the times the decision point, so that's simply why, and don't missunderstand me, Nokia has more perfect phones for more people, just because they have more models and more prices to search.
@asterix - Let us not just FORGET that majority of the newly released fones have prices hitting the ceiling ! Specially those ones which has very complicated features - or PDA functions like that of SE's P8 and the P9 series . . . Even during the Ericsson days, I can still remember when they sell the R series model (satellite fone) which has a tag price of almost US$ 700.00 in my place . . . and that was in 1996! So, I guess 'practicality' wise, it is BEST to buy fones during it's initial sell out in the market, better wait for (after) 5-7 months before buying one . . .
