I don't have a link of that but here's what the guy posted on the SE product blog:
"weee O:
a guy using emma updated is Satio and found an equalizer?!
finally?
by the way the update should be out in 2 weeks (week 48 is december already right? o.o)"
That's what he has heard. I just wanted to know if it true or not.

This sort of thing is never good news.
It's somewhat different to a salesman saying a phone has been recalled due to software problems (an excuse to cover for lack of stock). This is a company actually making the decision to stop selling a handset because of software problems.
I wonder why some people insisted their Satio never went wrong, crashed, paused or did anything wrong. Were these people barely using the phone, or plants to big-up the device?
I've just updated the firmware on my I8910 HD and, while it doesn't have kinetic scrolling yet (Chinese version does for the web browser), it's incredibly fast and responsive now. Sony Ericsson better not just do some minor bug fixing on the new firmware; they need to do much more.
I just think of how they turned around the K850i and managed to improve some UIQ devices through firmware, fingers crossed they can do this again - but somewhat quicker.

Have you ever wondered that SOME people may be using Satios that are completely UNBRANDED, which is a phenomenon that's absolutely unheard of in the UK, and that these Satios might be without any major issues even after having been loaded with extra applications...even cr^#&*d ones???

If anything the problems are with the unbranded versions, as Orange has its own home screen that seems quite stable.
My phone is SIM-free and running the generic firmware and I have plenty of issues. If people are returning the branded models, then there are problems on all of them.
What key differences will there be on a branded handset anyway? Different apps pre-loaded perhaps, a different theme, SIM locking enabled, a different standby theme. Beyond that, the core OS is identical. Handsets can be made to look quite different through branding, especially with hardcoded links, but there's not much changed that would cause crashes, freezing etc.

Fair enough, but Carphone Warehouse (the shop that's stopped selling the Satio) only sell unbranded Satio's. So Carphone Warehouse are saying there is a problem with unbranded handsets!
This is great news for customers. Instead of SE trying to keep it's problems as quiet as possible, CPW have made a stance which will hit SE hard so that's why SE really have to speed up with the firmware updates. Time is money...

Shortcuts BUG:
If you assign a shortcut in the homescreen shortcuts page it will vanish if you restart the Satio
This is a pure SE error not Symbian
