Nothing shocking as most big camera manufacturers including Canon/Nikon use SONY sensors in their cameras including DSLRs.

"Interestingly enough, the IMX105PQ could very well be the exact Sony 8MP sensor that was rumored to be implemented in the next Apple iPhone, which means that the iPhone 5 could have incredible low light performance (without flash) and 1080p video recording."

Well... If thats the case then its great for the iphoneusers. Its still just a rumour thou so I would be very careful with such info if my name was Avmaxfan. Remember what happened with Anzu. (TI OMAP4, Dualcore, Amoled, 16mp cam etc.)

had the chance to play with the xperia arc yesterday. compared to my iphone4 it feels much thinner, and it doesnt feel at all plastic that i thought it would. The screen is huge but it doesnt have the same crisp in it as the iphone4 display do. all in all its super nice, im definitately going to switch from the iphone to the arc, the UI is as smooth as on the phone and it feels really fresh!

The above news was dated October 2010 so it should be the same sensor use in Xperia Arc, right? Question is, why the Arc could not record 1080p video? It's Sony's product, why the best is given to Apple but not to SE?

Because 1080p requires dual core processor.

It can believe new image sensor named Exmor R is capable for recording for 1080p but Processor didn't powerful enough.

Yes, even Sony said (at the announcement of these sensors) that they're capable of recording full-HD videos.
