Initially I thought the Duo stood for the two minis but then I started wondering why would they deviate from the term mini. What really makes me think the Duo is the dual core is their odd announcement of the Arc and their unveiling of the Play. It seems to me they are getting the interesting but not outstanding phones out the way to prepare for the real monster. I also recall that they are going to release four phones this quarter which makes the two minis, Arc, Play and Neo five instead of four.
Another interesting fact is the lack of leaks for the Duo.
Maybe I'm too much of a conspiracy theorist but something tells me this is their X1 or Satio announcement for this year.
Let's wait and see, shall we? You could be correct and I could be incorrect.

It seems plausible that the Duo could refer to the dual cores isn't it?

Dont think DUO=Dual CORE.. Should be mini2 only.. I was really hoping NEO means something new but As mentioned by techradar NEO=vivaz2
so I guess duo means mini2...
It would be so cool if neo was some cool new device(hopefully not vivaz2) and duo for dual core.. Fingers crossed lets see what happene's ..

Well, at this point is hard to believe.
