I am actually NOT implying anything of this sort. we r just debating the issue that in the eyes of consumers there is no division line between a Series60 smartphone and a non-smartphone. Obviously scotsboyuk disagreed with this.

i don't think i've said that SE is not innovative. also pls dont misunderstand that i'm trying to bring SE down. i'm not. all i hv done is to highlight (from my point of view) some issues that SE is facing (or may face).

I would rather SE stay with just mid level and high end phones. But I suppose all companies want to cash in with low level phones. There's no stopping that.

I guess it is mate! I see rarely see SE T230's in my turf dude! As the T610's and T630's are quite rare too . . . so goes with the P800's !

I think the convergence is taking place at faster pace than what u r comfortable with. Nokia is now ramming smartphones to ordinary phone buyers and it looks like buyers r receptable to this. (Series60 sales increased 290% in 3Q y-o-y).

Not that it's really that important, or merits the amount of mucking about with "quote" functions that I have just done (and probably still cocked it up!) but I do believe the above is something of a contradiction...

Consumers are more interested on price and looks than features, so companies like nokia and samsung are taking advantage me that at se expenses This message was posted from a T610

@dave_uk

i am saying that I am not implying that scotsboyuk is old-fashioned or unabled to keep pace with smartphone development (as u seem to suggest). I believe u r trying to make it look like I'm mocking scotsboyuk.

What I'm saying (if u hv read my posts properly) is that scotsboyuk cannot accept the fact Nokia smartphone is now converging into mainstream sales and will be competing in the volume market. I'm trying to say it nicely to him instead of using the phrase "you cannot accept".

I hope i clear this up.

This is getting way off-topic, but I do not accept that I am not reading your posts properly, rather that your grasp of English may be what is at fault here. You said exactly what I said you said - unfortunately, message boards/forums are a medium of communication that can be easily misconstrued, so it's a lot easier if you say what you mean and mean what you say!

Basically, you were "mocking" scotsboyuk, for want of a better way of putting it, but decided to sugar-coat your mocking with other words. Anyway, the only point relevant to this topic is that to try to claim that someone "can't accept" something, because they hold a different point of view to yours, is rather childish. JEspecially when your argument is tenuous, to say the least, in the first place!

Peace out - after all, there's enough conflict in the world, or at least there will be for four more years, after yesterday's result

@dave_uk:

this definitely off-topic. u r the one who is trying to kick up a fuss by saying scotsboyuk is old-fashioned, then try to make it this into a character debate by implying this and that about me.

i'm not going to mince my words here with you. if u r game enough then debate the main issue at hand instead of standing on sideline and behaving like an immature snide.
