I think Nokia don't make smartphone's,what do you call serie 60?

I call it cheap toys but smartphone's no.

If you compare with every aspect like P serie's from SE VS Serie 60 the P serie's is the real winner in terms of smartphone's capabilty's if you can install a SIS file doesn't mean it is a smartphone.

The only what i can say about smarphone's by Nokia is the 9xxx serie's from Nokia but not serie's 60.

But i think that the P serie will out sell the 9xxx serie from Nokia

I don't think that the OS is the best and only basis for a technologically advanced phone. Putting a hi-quality hi-resolution camera, a fully functional mp3 player, and a lot of practical applications and utilities in small phone package requires a really good technology. It also matters a lot how easy it is to access all the features of the phone.

i think u r over presumptous when u said many people will be bored with s60 apps. imo, more will be bored with K750 because few months down the road it is still the exact same phone.

at least with a smartphone, u can customise and expand the capability.

- full-screen video?: s60 have this eons ago.
- can K750 do call mgt? ie setup black/white list, auto sms response or use the phone as an answering machine?
- how abt adv. profile? change profile/wallpaper or run program based on calendar entry.
- how abt player that can supports multiformat?
- multi-tasking? run ANY phone program while talking on the phone.
etc etc etc.

i think it is futile to go into functionality comparison betw K750 and series60. it is like comparing what a computer can do and what a calculator can do.

on the hardware side, s60 has physical screen size 40% bigger than K750 and that's a big plus. currently only thing it lose out is the 2MP camera. dont forget the latest S60 (6680) is already going on sale. by the time K750 comes on, a s60 with 2MP will come on stream.

well, what can I say. whether intentional or not u r making my point.
many SE fans here said u cannot bring s60 into picture in comparing with K750 because s60 is smartphone.

what i said is that you cannot say k750 is state of the art without comparing to a s60.

based on your argument what does a K750 have that it is so irresistable?

design? imo, K750 looks so plain and dull with its blackish mono-block recycled design from T610. So if you use look/design as a criteria, then surely K750 dont have it.

capability/functionality? u say people do not base their buying on a point to point comparison. So if this is the case, K750 has no advantage because people are not too bother with 2MP camera or the so-called advanced functionality in K750.

reputation? like u say people buy Nokia by default so if this is the case K750 has lost even before battle has begun.

if buying public is not discerning, then Nokia would have won by default and no matter how hard SE tries, it will still be laggard. i, for one is not so naive to believe this.

of all your argument, i think u forgot a very important third factor (after design and price): greed. all being equal, the one with more functions win.

so if design and price being the same to a buyer, s60 have a great advantage because Nokia can easily throws in more functionalities to a s60.

wtf i need a white/black list

wtf i need advanced profile

wtf i need more multitasking that i already have with k700 (mp3 player, instant messenger, radio, etc)

wtf do i need something to play more than mp3/aac or 3gp/mp4 ???? And play it with QUALITY

There´s no s60 phone with same dimensions/wheight than k700/k750

RDS radio - where???

Autofocus - where???

k750 does all modern multimedia phone functions better or at least the same way like any s60 phone, and in a smaller, lighter, and better build form
