According an article at se-nse, the Satio is the one who emits more radiation with 1.5W/kg followed by the Bold 9700

When a phone is found to exceed the maximum permitted level of radiation, I'll be worried. For now, we're talking about something that is either not harmful, or IS harmful and such differences will make almost no difference.

Therefore, we either use any phone that complies with regulations and not bother, or stop using all mobile phones immediately to be on the safe side.

While my opinion might change if I suddenly get cancer from my phone, at the current time, I would say that I'd rather have cancer than not use the technology I love.

Guys I just want to say that I am very close to sell my Satio and get an Aino white instead.
The poor speaker volume, vainishing paint only after 2 months(silver), the GPS that cuts off when it want, the ''never coming'' promised support in Theme Creator (I would have liked to change homescreens looks),resistive finger-nail...
I missed the old good A2 OS (and I would win 100$ in the swaping), the only thing that I will regret is the screen size and resolution, so am I doing a good thing or a mad thing?

The lower resolution screen makes a difference for the menus and looking at photos, but for watching movies it's still pretty decent. The Aino doesn't have the ability to run loads of apps, but it does have Facebook support (Twitter coming in 2010 once the exclusive with 3 ends), Google Maps, Active Sync support, push email support and a decent enough browser. All the key things you'll probably want and need.

I think the Aino is probably the better phone, now that it has also had a firmware update that fixed a few issues. I'm only disappointed that it doesn't have an integrated stand and 3.5mm headphone jack like the W995. I suspect the Aino was actually being developed before the W995, and that in the next month or two we will see some new SE models that may result in an improved version.

We know what the next Satio (U5) will be; smaller, capacitive screen, HD record but only 8MP with LED flash. We don't know what the next Aino equivalent will be yet.

So the U5 will be a sort of n97 mini
The Aino doesn't have a 3.5 jack ''in'' the phone itself but the given bluetooth adapter has one,so it's the same thing.
I think that the Aino replacement will be with A3 OS so it will take a while before we see it, perhaps a revelation on February and a release in June as usual.
For me the conclusion about the Satio: SE was not ready to implement an obsolete OS
Not ready yet because they didn't improve side options that always made SE so special phones like Theme Creator supporting(even if they still promise it I don't beleive they will do it soon) and monthly FW, obsolete because S60v5 is not as advanced as Android and iphone OS.
And about S60v5 softwares vs java...I don't see more than 10% more apps and games. Not to mention that some java apps don't work on Satio like the exellent SE Tracker

Guys i am reading in every forum about the satio ESATO seems to be the most mature forum and at the same time when you really look at this situation carefully they can all produce the ultimate phone but it was design to have us always spending money every 6months to 1year every time they make a phone with xenon flash it is gauranteed the next phone after comes with led flash which is a next down side to the coming fone IMO xenon flash complements sony fones and it just makes me wonder that if sony can colaborate with nokia and use there software this is politics to the highest degree i guess tonight being new yeareve they will all sit around there table and drink champaigne thinking how to draw out our pockets next year

anyway at the same time i really disgusted with the phone books entrys can anyone tell me if they got sorted out in the proper order and how to correct this will gladly appreciate this thanks all and happy new year

Is the youtube app and track id on the vodafone Satio not suppose to work?

When it comes to vodafone i dont think they intend anything to work. They've been known to disable all sorts of features in the past. Mostly to do with downloading or sharing content. Hell, they even turned off Bluetooth in some phones - permenantly.

thanks, vodafone sucks bigtime. lmao, taking away bluetooth is taking it a bit too far sigh

No offense to symbian, but the Satio would have been a perfect phone for me if it was running on android with capacitive screen. Being using it for a month and all can say is that I only like the camera.

About Symbian.... How is your battery life on Satio. Mine barely last for one day. I heard this is normal for a smart phone like this but I can't face it if I compare it to my old K800i. I have a few apps instaled but none of them are running in background. However, I still think there are some background processes which I can't seen and drain my battery. Last night I left it on my desk with about half charged battery but when I woke up it was dead.

Is there something to do about increasing the battery life or do I have to face it? It seems this is my first and last Symbian phone.
