@Bobafett
Yeh... It's difficult..

I like the silver more, but I like also to be special. I always want to have a color that other people (as few as possible) don't have.

I suppose the best sold Ericsson in The Netherlands is the GF768

Do you guys know if the backplate of the T39 is made out of metal like the T28, or is it just plastic? I plan on buying one of these two, and it is really hard too decide. Today I own a K700i (my service center has it now) and I need a nice backup phone with a little nostalgia.

Is it possible to get a black keypad and a shorter antenna for the T39? I know that shorter antennas were available for the T28, down to 1/4 of the original length.

Where can I get a brand new unit, somebody got to have the T39, the T28 is still available.

Lycka till att hitta en ny T39..
(Good luck in finding a new T39)
www.mobilvasa.com had 10 new T39 this spring but they are long gone and it doesnīt look bright on any other new ones.. they do have T28īs though, or at least had last time i spoke to them.
And the chassis/back plate on the T39 is magnesium, i have three Two working and one for parts

Thanks for the info! Extremely good news about the magnesium back-plate, I really love that feature.

I'll keep my eyes open for a brand new T39. What colour do u prefer? I think the white one is rather cool, but maybe a little bit feminine? I really would like to have a black keypad if I somehow manage to get a black T39. Otherwise I might consider geting a T28, that has black keys. IMHO these two phones are the most good looking ever. They look like a phone, not like a gameboy.

AFAIK the only T39 colors available is Classic Blue (dark) Rose White (kinda cafe au lait colored if you ask me..) and Icecap Blue (light "baby" blue) I have One Classic and two Icecap ones, used to have Rose white but my boss bought it off me Oh, and they all have the silver keypad..

Thanx for the info!

I'll see if I go for a T39 or the black/grey T28 with a short antenna. It's a shame they moved the T39 logo to the inside of the flip. The problem with the T28 is the lack of 1900band, finding a T28world won't be easy and then i'll need to change the housing to get my favorite colour.

thanx!

I started out with a blue GA628 back in 1998, then i owned a yellow GF768 traded for a dark green 788e(no money envolved!), black T18, two light blue T28s (one of them still working, my aunt has it), T68i which I hated and smashed against the wall that resulted in the purchaise of a new K700i. Unfortunately all the phones are sold, given away etc. The T68i is still here, I'll just need to empty the phone book and then throw it away. The T28 is the model I liked the most, that is why I will put some effort and cash into finding one.

I also owned two nokia 8210 and I am the proud owner of a siemens 4010micro DECT. Why the hell can't Ericsson make good DECTs? Imagine a T28-39 designed DECT. People would die of envy! The 4010micro is good though, I never regreted purchasing it. For a while I worried it would look old next to my new K700, but i never felt that way, the nice keypad layout makes up for the rather small B-W display.
