@pachy

Thanks man for the tip on the CSD tariff. Switched today.

Orange and CPW do not seem to know what the unwritten rules are about minimum period on tariffs etc.

Yea, thing is, if we are buying a locked Orange phone, chances are, even if we go to a low tariff, we still use another Orange sim in the phone, even if its not the one the phone came with, so they still get our money. just maybe not as much

just got my free p900.

basically the deal they are doing is that ALL phones are free on the £45 a month contract (which she says you have to stick to for 3 months but theres nothing in the contract)

in the smallprint of the deal it says "except pda phones"! i really dont think that they are supposed to be giving this phone out for free.

the store i went to in central manchester has only got 2 left and they only started selling it today - its not even out on the shelves yet!

i'd assume that they got aroung 10 to 20 of them in, so thats (10 * 599) £6000 worth of phones they've given away in a day - not bad!

oh by the way this offer only runs till tommoro!

@mobman,
You didnt say what network you got it on, best ccheck you can downgrade by ringing up & trying to downgrade, specialy if you didnt buy on Orange.

Well i dowgrade imediately on Orange,not suree o2 will let you do that, if your planning a downgrade on o2 i would check you can do it NOW, dont leave it till the 14 days is up, as you would be stuck with the phone & tariff.

three months is definate so worst case scenario you pay 270 (3 * 45) + (9 * 15)

but i am sure after the documents come through to you from O2 you can ring and ask for the downgrade.

Bought a P900 on 02 45 tariff from Carlisle yesterday the 6th. It was the last one in stock, think quite lucky there.

@Anuj
Did you ask the salesman to make the billing date after 14 days or did they do it by default, coz I asked the sales girl to make my billing date after 10 days and she said its not possible to specify the billing date and said it will be 6th of every month, ( yesterday was 6th ).

@bbasra
I read that your billing date was also the same as the date of purcahse
and that you were going to call 02, did you call and were you able to change the billing date?

@Vermania
Were you able to specify the billing date on your 02 P900s?

@Welshuk
Have you downgraded the contract yet? For that matter any one else downgraded the contract of 02 yet
