My P900 syncs with outlook. Although the settings needed tweaking.

the linus was jsut an example, i work on windows...
My computer is brand new and i think the problem as i said earlier is the fact that we work in a big network and i think the variability of the programs that we have is the reason.
I was/am frustrated that an upgraded phone is not synchronising, and as i am explaining is useless for me without synhronization with outlook (all the appointments that are put automatically by the secretary to be put by synchronization on the mobile)...
I will tell you on teusday what will happen.

What happened to your P900? You could in back to it. That's if the problem is impossible to solve which I doubt.

I have installed a few Px00's over the last 3 years! Not the 910 yet tho!
I remember the SW supplied on CD from SE with the first P8’s was crap! It didn’t work at all, I remember spending hours messing around.
I then phoned them and was asked if I had the latest SW! I made the mistake of assuming that the CD was up to date!
Once I downloaded the update it stared working, not 100% but it was working.
Even the P8 3 years ago was fine with Synchronizing with Exchange via Outlook using over 1400 contacts with multiple levels of details!
But as far as I know problems still remain.
What I had problems with was staff wanted to keep their personal and business contacts separate.
There maybe a way around this but from a user point of view the Synchronization process sucks!
It would mix personal and business contacts together. Furthermore it seemed very easy to end up with duplicate contacts! This tho is probably down to not configuring the options better! But they are not that user friendly!
I think the main problem with the SW is there is no option to select a custom address books! Well it might be possible but please correct me if I’m wrong?
It looks like you can select MS Outlooks Contacts and Windows address book Contacts!
Now this should work but now if you look at your Px00 where are these Address books and Contacts replicated!
As far as I can see you just have “one” Contacts list! What you can then do is Filter these by Business and Personal. Not what most people want to do at all. After all who wants to risk personal contacts maybe getting synced back to the Server or even their Outlook in the office. It needs to be clear cut.
I still think the Px00 is the best thing since sliced bread, it’s just the SE Software that lets it down.
It needs a facelift as it’s the same SW basically as the P800.
Correct me if I’m wrong but the phone also needs to have the ability to have more than one Contacts list so you do not have to sync your personal and business contacts together and then having to filter them once on the fone!
As I don’t have a P900 or 910 my self to play with, just the odd one to configure in a working environment I might need correcting! I do have a P800 which is still a great fone!
Be it from changing a channel on a friends TV to web browsing, email, remote control my PC via GPRS or even Push2Talk and surfing broadband via Bluetooth at home this phone just never gets boring!
haris_el; Sorry but most things don’t just works out of the box, some IT person usually works late into the night so when people like yourself come in the following morning its business as usual! Staff don’t usually even know that they’re using a different server etc.. The Px00 is not a simple fone, it dose need tweaking to get it the way you like it!
The problem you’re having might be to-do with Windows itself! Outlook is buggy and can do strange things sometimes. Just because its new it doesn’t mean your PC is working correctly. A lot of my work revolves around configuring new PC’s in an office environment because from new they’re just a box!
Big Networks are not anything to do with this problem. Exchange is probably on its own Server in a big office anyway, so it shouldn’t be that slow etc…
You might have a Firewall running and its simply blocking your SE SW from connecting!
Try also checking for a SW download just in case you’re using older SW!
If you’re using an older cradle this can be a problem sometimes with different SW versions! E.g. Using a P800 cradle with a P900 and P900 SW can give problems, I have seen this, slow connection etc..
Try installing it on another PC, see what happens, it’s just possible you have a dud cradle, USB cable or phone!
Try uninstalling and re-install using a different USB port!
Good luck in getting it working.

Never had issues with any SE phone and outlook. Even when you change handset as far as the translator is concerned you change NOTHING. Furthermore, I use the DSS25 stand in the office and BT @home and with BT disabled on the handset in the office it picks it up immediately.
Prior to SE, I used Siemens for 2 years (excellent but not SE) and Nokia for 6 months. With this last vendor I had nothing but problems... wake up and smell the coffee dude!

Hi all,
I'm synchronizing both P800 and Z1010 with Outlook, same sync-station, two different clients to handle mobile connection and it's perfect. I honestly never had any problem with P800 while the 'other' Z1010 address field cannot be synchronized.
Anyway this behaviour shows that there's something missing in SE sw, that was there using XTND sw coming with T39 and T68: a field mapping function!
And by the way, in my company we have a dozen of sysadmins that usually solves this kind of problems...
Cheers
