With technology, it's always worth another try!

@max_wedge

I was really talking about the greater issue...

that too

typical claim: "My computer which crashes all the time, whose internet connection is dog slow due to the 1300 adware variants litered through the system, won't connect to SEUS properly. Must be a problem at SE's end."

Likewise with bluetooth connectivity problems blamed on firmware. Hell, my belkin dongle connection crashes regularly, with all phones, but my d-link dongle never does. Many peeps only have the one dongle, and just assume it works perfectly. When it doesn't they blame the phone's "firmware". MS duo corruption is another such issue that is more often something other than firmware causing the problem.

Even when the phone does have a problem, before you can blame firmware you ought to do a master reset just incase the phone software has become corrupted - a master reset reloads the firmware and often fixes the fault. I've seen peeps blame problem after problem on firmware, then do a master reset and all the problems go away.

I'm not saying it's good if the phone get's corrupted (that is a reliability issue) but if a master reset can fix then IT IS NOT a firmware issue and posting here that it is a firmware bug just muddies the waters.

I was just thinking more or less the same

no offense for the newbies out there or in here, but loking after a PC and ensuring it is tip-top is not for the faint hearted...

Having all the latest updates for all your drivers and software is not enough.

in between clogged registry, currupt system files, baddly maintained hard drives, wot you just mentioned and other user incompatibility issues. well...

maybe one could think of making a topic about how to maintain your pc in shape ...

but what use would this be if informative posts dont get the attention they deserve by the forum.... hint...sticky... hint...
