Excuse me, dont tell me what i have and have not done, i did do a search using disk2phone and the posts that came up did not help me. If i was that lazy i wouldnt of written a post in the ist place, so before you go accusing people of "not doing searches" get your facts straight.
Dude, I do not want to argue with you but I have done the same search and found a ton of links that should point you in the right direction. The hard part is looking through the links, not posting a fresh topic. Anyway, iTunes is the best. Hopefully this will satisfy your longing for info.

Thanks for all your help guys, i downloaded itunes last night, and for once everything seemed to be straightforward and it started converting straight away so thank you for that advice. let me just say one thing, sapporobaby, you might of done a search for disk2phone, but i did too on monday and yes there are a lot of topics regarding it, but it actually fails to mention the fact that you can only convert into mp3 cds that you are adding now, not the ones that you already have on your pc. So yes there are lots of posts on disk2phone but nothing that mentioned what i needed to know.

isnt disc2phone painfully slow at converting and putting it on the phone. ive nevered used it just what ive read from others also the software its self isnt the best to navigate around, again not personal experience just from reviews and users
I use it and I got no problems with it....
It is idiot proof that program... trust me I am proof of it...
Seriously you have WMP10 that does it as well.... and better yet it can synchronise with the USB mass storage device (as the memory card is known to XP wilst plugged to phone....) I use this toooooooooooooooo....
and if you use i-tunes try this...

Nero is just as good too...
The best is WMP10 all under one roof without having to download and clutter your PC with useless apps...

for aac ripping I find dbpoweramp as good as itunes but a lot smaller file sizes (FAAC abr codec). Nevertheless itunes is convenient if you use it anyway. And the 'keep folders organised' option is good for creating folder's to sling across to the phone.
Disc2phone (spelt correctly guarantee's better search results
), is good for mp3 ripping, and free. The dbpoweramp mp3 codec expires and you have to buy. itunes does mp3 but only 3 choices of bitrate.
Laviath, great tip re: WM10. I hadn't noticed yet it has the sync option. And of course does mp3.

That's right. It's free to breath, but if you don't eat you die.

Is there a way for iTunes to recognize the W800i as if it were an iPod?

I use CDex (www.download.com/CDex/3000-2140-10226370.html) to rip from CD to mp3.
I will tell you why i am using it:
-it is easy
-freeware
-many many options for encoding to mp3 (use LAME encoder, the best way believe me)
-fast in comparison to other rippers
-the best ripping tool for audiophiles
-totally kicks iTunes ass
for more info visit this article from arstechnica:
http://arstechnica.com/guides/tweaks/encoding.ars/1
Tho encoding especially for k750i (to put on speaker or to listen via the earbuds) you really don't have to go further then LAME 3.9 128-192 kbps VBR / 44.1 Hz / Normal Stereo.
Hope this helped!
