wahoo got my w550 on last wednesday, think i was the first from o2...

They were offering me loads of crap phones for upgrade on my £19 a month contract 50mins 500 txts,....

They sent me this NEC that was ok but the bluetooth didnt work and it wasnt a sonyericsson

So i sent it back and they said "well if you want to upgrade you have to pay £20 at least, and they offered me a nok 6230i and a whole range of shit phones which would cost me even more"

I said i'll think about, phoned up again to get the 6230i , systems were down... so then i started lookin around the net and found a better deal...

rung them back up n said im canceling they said "well would you be able to tell us why" told them the new contract was better than theres plus better phone for free...

They said well we will beat it....... they gave me 200mins and 500txt for £20 a month 12month contract plus offered me the w550i that was coming out the week later..... Didnt even hesitate

sent it out to me as soon as it came out

Man i am so happy with it.. excellent phone!

I played with a friend's W550i during the w/e. I was stunned to see that the internal memory was 256 mb. It's huge, although natural since the phone does not take memory cards.

Anyway, did the W550 specs include 256 mb from the very beginning, or was this a last-minute change by SE?

P.S. Brilliant screen, identical to K750, W800, K600.

The other menu is actually a flash theme.
There are a few already implemented in the phone, called 'Club pulse' and 'Breakbeat'.

If your phone has a O2 customisation, these themes might not be present.
In this case I belive they are downloadable from sonyericsson.com

I just signed up for a w550i on upgrade. O2 sent me a letter offering me one even though I am only 10 months into my contract. They are also giving my double talk and texts for the next 6 months. Not bad as I am on a £16.99 a month tariff.
I might see how good it is and make a decision before swapping it with my W800i.
