List your full firmware details. Post the full first line under software info.
There are certain firmwares which do not have multiple search. As far as i know, the chinese, indonesian firmware do not have this feature.

There is a very good improvement in the file manager which you can see all the files in a folder and notice with beside indicator showing in phone memory or external memory.

I updated the nee firmware R5AF001.
Still no clock on standby, and no improvments compare to the older firmware, except that i have the multi caracter search because i updated to Europe 5.

Well I have a K750i and it had R1N005 Chinese firmware without multiple character search. I upgraded via SEUS II yesterday to R1AA008 and now my Chinese firmware has multiple character search. Yay! Just a matter of time before they do that for the W900 too I think. They have finally come to their senses...

What was your firmware previously? How did you get the new firmware? Is that a European firmware?
I really miss the multiple letter search function... I just hate scrolling down and searching for the contact I need to call...

Hi, thanks for the reply. Can you please explain what you mean by "totalmutilserver"? Is that where you downloaded the European firmware? Can you please link me to the website? Thanks.

Wow, so I followed your instructions and visited
www.totalmultiserver.com and tried to upgrade the firmwire using the DCU-60 cable... but then the flashing failed... I tried using the three available firmwares.... EU-EMEA, CHINA, and VODAPHONE, but they all failed to flash the W900i completely....
Now when I turn my phone on... it says "Configuration Error, Please contact your network operator or service centre"
I think the firmware I need to flash my phone with is:
W900_R5AF001_ZONE_1_EU-EMEA.W95
and the language file is:
W900_EU5_EN_IT_FR_DE.W9D
My phone's original version is:
Firmware: R5AC011
PRGCXC1250252_CHINA_SA R5AC011
Now according to a rep at multiserver...
"You need USB FTDI based cable for these new W900 hardware revisions which are being imported from asia."
I was under the impression that the DCU-60 that came with the W900i will be sufficient to flash the phone with the EU firmware...
If anybody have any experience with flashing with totalmultiserver please provide with some advice so I can regain the use of my phone..
Thank you for reading...

Thank God I didn`t flash mine...
But according to the forums at TMS the DCU-60 cabel is compatible!!!
I guess it`s not!!! Perhaps an Idea to inform us customers on that vital information..
But then again, I always wait until someone can prove that they have successfully flashed their phones with the newest software...
Nevermind now anyway. I sold my W900.
