Yeah, if this application was written in C, it would fly. However, it would also probably suffer from feature bloat like the other UIQ browsers do. I got in touch with Opera, and a friendly sounding guy called Matt said that they may be releasing an updated UIQ version based on core components (the rendering engine) from mini, although they aren't sure about it yet, as UIQ is such a small market to develop for.

EDIT: got it working by using the mobileweb settings from the opera site, just hope i dont start getting charged for gprs now!

That's a big plus for me -- the one last thing I wanted to do online via my P910 but couldn't!

Yep 100%

most oem's have proprietary operating systems. it's only smart phones that mostly share either symbian or wm.
