@p800 users.i've never actually had/used a 800.i've only had a 900 and currently still have a 910i.with the 900 i often encountered re-starts 2 or 3 times a day due to low ram.does this happen regularly on the 800? This message was posted from a WAP device

@ JN

I don't use the flip on the p800 because it's quite useless in my opinion, if the screen stops responding then the flip is of no use, even though this is not the case with the p910i and the flip and touchscreen work without being dependant of each other. I was kind of used to operate these phones without the flip so it was the first thing I removed after getting my p910i and I haven't had a regret about doing that since. That's why I like SE for giving their users the right to choose.

And *that*, IMHO, is the biggest single reason behind the success of the P-series. That *flexibility* ...

Whether to input via the flip-down keypad, by handwriting on the screen, via the virtual keyboard, via an external BT keyboard -- every base is covered.

@tb - Same here pal !

@delicios - I still have my keypad flip in place/intact . . . as I can 'still' make a call with it, closed (not open), one of the 'simple' things that I can still DO withthis thing ON ! Also, to access SMS incoming ones, check reply to OR delete . . .

i got a P800 just yesterday. i wanted 1 after i watched the "bow wow - lets get down" video a few years ago, but by the time i could afford a p series phone the p910i was out so i have that. but i swapped a nokia 6030 for 1 yesterday. i've been using it today. for the age of it i think its really good .... but i compaired to p910i its really out dated. the screen is to weak ad not as clear as the P910i. but theres not much else different from the p910i i was quite supprised how simular the phones are i'm not planning on using it over my p910i but its a nice addition to the collection

Nice to hear that the flip on works for you, I gave that up long time ago. And because of the fact that most people I call are on speeddial and I send about one text-message a month, you can see I don't really miss the convenience of having the flip on. It's even more handy for me to have it off because of my addiction to escummvm games (currently playing sam 'n max & loom) so the open flip won't annoy me. But it's all about personal preferences isn't it?

Maybe I'll keep the flip on the p990 when I decide to buy one, but the w950 looks mighty appealing as I won't miss the phone's cam.

@delicios - Having read your reasons for not putting the keypad flip on is accepted pal. It's just that I fing my P800 'neked' when the flip is OUT with or without USE, I will still OPT to keep it on place. reading again your reasons, maybe that's why Laffen gave us an option to choose with or without flip's on our avatars - P800
