I suppose it is just llike the cholesterol subject, one minute it's bad for you and the markets capitilize on "Low cholesterol" products the next cholesterole can be good in certain amounts and types and then everyone just forgets about it anyway!!!I can just see it...."Buy your low radiation Sony Ericsson now and get this handy carry bag free"Imagine it.

I am not trying to be flippant, but these figures will actually mean very little no matter who the manufacturer is governments make plenty of money from networks so the figures will in my opinion never be very accurate (too many vested interests).
We all know we can be run down crossing the road does it stop us crossing? No. We all know cars pollute do we stop buying them? No?
We can all kid each other these are important "business tools" we must have cant we!
How many of us honestly, thought to carry a camera with us everywhere we went in the days before camera phones?
The fact is these are great techno toys and we love them.
There is of course one way to be absolutely certain you are getting the lowest dose of rays
But who is going to be the first to give up our favourite toy !!!!! Not me I am an addict and I don’t care!

Yes, the power needed for the phone to operate is different depending on the frequency.
Lower frequency = more power needed.
Also, another factor is that the tissue in the head of a human absorbs radiation differently depending on the frequency too.
So definitively the 850 MHz instead of 1800 is a factor
