I had a W810 for the whole of last week. I took it back because when I asked for my PAC code I got a better deal, so Im getting another one this week.
Just to say I have had the K750, W800, W600 (W550 with EDGE) and W900
My thoughts are these: (mainly the differences with the W800)
much better colour than W800
great size
uses memory stick pro duo, so I can utilize my 2GB mem stick
no worries of a joystick goin dodgy
menu looks a lot better
bigger screen
screen much clearer and brighter
buttons a lot better including side buttons which are more "clicky"
ability to browse mem stick or phone memory, or both individually
more contacts
back up contacts to MS
light sensor to dim lights in sunlight (preserves battery too!)
has activity menu
looks new and fresh, not outdated like W800
K750 back will fit it, and therefore you could have a lens cover that doesnt look out of place due to both the colour and the finish of the front
So far that is about it. If I think of any more I'll ad em.
Enjoy.

It is as bad as that?? Wow..
By the way I didn't know the ringtone volume was lower than on the w800, that sucks greatly...
In my opinon its not up to the hype... but of course these are my views!
1. D-pad is not that responsive, joystick is far easier to use.
2. Videos slightly more blocky due to slight increase in screen size but not number of visable pixels.
3. Screen getting lighter and darker too quickly in shadows etc!
4. Its ok looking, but hardly that different from the k750i TBH
5. My camera got dirty and pics were coming out fairly unclear.
6. Screen is even more finger print magnetic
Plus sides:
1. MP4 sound much clearer
2. Does look nice and feels slimmer and more compact than the k750/w800
3. has flashy menus etc - not a big deal to me!
but thats just my views!! and as for Edge, never seems active in my area so no point and my GPRS has always been at a good speed!
Also, the finish on the walkman and shortcut button looks out of place, very fake look to them... almost just like foil covering on the buttons!!

Another list of improvements over the W800i. Some have been mentioned, some not. I got lazy and copy & posted from my thread on a different forum.
* Software is much more stable and responds a lot quicker.
(* The feel of the buttons is similar to the K700i. Feels very solid.)
* An extra shortcut button that makes it very easy to access all your most used ... things (?).
* Looks the bo**ocks.
* Plays music much more loudly and the speaker quality through the speaker is much improved (read "bl**dy good quality sound).
* Camera responds much faster and is generally much better than the W800i camera and even the K750i camera.
* The phone gives options to view folders as "All", "Phone only" or "Memory Stick only".
* Again, when connected to your PC you now have the option to view files stored on phones internal memory as well as external. This means you can connect phone, transfer files to mem. stick, switch it over to phone and be able to view the memory stick folders without having to disconnect it first.
* The "found new hardware" wizard that auto installs all the drivers is now fool-proof (even ex-Nobia owners should cope)!
* Assuming the networks sort themselves out, you will be able to update this phone via GPRS!!
* SE have put the "New Events" option on it. Similar to the K750i but sooo much better.
(* Phone has a light sensor that adjusts the brightness of the screen and button backlight automatically according to light conditions.)
* Writing an e-mail is now much more user friendly with options very similar to those found on any e-mail program such as Outlook etc. Options include sending an attachment.
* You have new icons in the message menu to show if a message has been replied to by you or if a message was a reply of yours (?).
(* There is now an option to back up your contacts to the memory stick.)
* Has an active menu.
Also, just to clarify a few things mentioned in this thread:-
The W810i should be louder than the W800i in all respects. It would appear that some networks customisation has effected it but you can either flash it with an update using Davinci or wait till the networks give SE the all clear to release the update publicly.
"uses memory stick pro duo, so I can utilize my 2GB mem stick" - So did the W800i.
Er, hold up. Need to read thread again. Back in a mo!!
