Just kiddin' here . . . here at my END courting starts with the girl's MOM and 'not' direct with the girl that you want . . . because if you FAIL with the girl's Mom . . . you won't even reach FIRST base with the girl dude . . . Why not sepnd one of your weekends cutting the GRASS pal . . . . at LEAST you've already done her request . . . if she feels DISCONTENTED with that . . . then might as well CUT her HAIR the way/style you did with the GRASS pal !

I think your girlfriend needs to take the plunge and sit down with her mum and have a heart to heart. She simply has to tell her to back off, she loves you etc etc and that she must not get in the way and treat you like this.
Obviously this is going to be hard and she would need to approach this carefully, but at the end of the day your girlfriend is more than capable of knowing who is right for her. Neither she nor you should be pushed around by her and these demands it is stupid.
Her mother is acting very childish imho!!!
