The world would be a much better place without religion i think...everyone thinks they have a right to their god or whatever they choose to believe.

They do have that right. Same as you and others have a right not to believe in a god

Why do you have your religion listed as 'Christian' then? Why not say that you are of no religion or an agnostic?
Do passports list a person's religion?

I believe in fast cars. I believe in hot women. I believe in computer technology. I believe in mobile phones (duh). These are the things I believe in. But what about Faith?
I sense a higher power. Do I "believe" in a higher power? Not particularly. Who knows what form that higher power takes? Do I have faith that a higher power guides my hand (if I let it) and do I have faith that the resources I need from day to day will be there when I need them? Yes. Yes, because experience confirms my faith (I eat everyday, work comes when I need it, I have some nice shit to play with etc)
Faith and Belief are two different things. Faith is a personal, internal sense of oneness with a higher power. Belief is a structured system that says "this is the way things are". When religious people mistake their beliefs for "faith" wars and conflict usually result.
There is NEVER a need to impose one's "faith" on another. Faith is something that an individual holds within themselves, and the very meaning of faith means you have the courage to believe without the need to enforce that belief on others. Faith is having the courage of your convictions, without needing to prove it to anyone. People who "believe" on the other hand often get caught in a trap of feeling they have to enforce their beliefs on others, since it is a "righteous" belief. More than good intent is required before someone can claim righteousness.
I don't really believe in anything but that which I can touch, see, hear or feel. My faith in the universe however runs much deeper. If not I would have topped myself years ago.
The problem with belief systems, is that people use them to overiride their internal faith. For example, poor people in Africa have had imposed on them the belief system that they are powerless against western economics, so because the are short on faith they do not rise up against their economic overlords. A positive example from South America is Venezuela. They have faith in their right to self-determination. They over-threw western (US) economic interests and nationalised the country's resources to ensure the wealth of the country was not siphoned off by foreign multi-nationals. They ceased to "believe" that they needed the Multi-nationals to survive as a nation. The US hates them for it, and has already tried unsuccessfully to depose the democratically elected leader of venezuela.
The faith of the venezuelan people sustains their revolution. In this case they have replaced the old western belief system, with their own belief in the right to self-determination. Now their belief and faith are in harmony. This is when true growth occurs.
