> w810i LEDs flashing bug
Bookmark topic
This is what i emailed SE.
Dear Sir/Mdm,
My W810i is encoutering some minor bug. When in camera mode and i turn on the
flash light, if i were to switch it to video recording mode and back to camera
mode, the led flash will start to blink. And i will be unable to take any proper
pictures.
I've check with a few users and tested out the issue, its showing same symptoms
for all the sets.
Software Info
R4CF002
Here's their
answer.

The service centre locations are as follows...
Truly don't think they know much do they?
Also to note :

After turning off the phone and turning it on,
the shortcut key assigned to directional buttons resets to default

I tried in a realy dark place with he curtains drawn and sure enough the led was constant. Its not a bug after all just a very clever but mis informed development to the software.

Apparently its not a bug. Both my sim free W810 and my grilfriends 02 branded W810 have this led flashing problem.
Apparently it happens to let you know that the extra light is not needed from the flash as there is enough light already.
This came from

when I contacted them.
Strangly though. When we use ours in low light or darkness the light does flash but stays on after a while.
r u on drugs????

LOL
although the w810i does have a light sensor, this is not used for determining whether it'll use the flash or not, this is just for controlling LED-brightness in the keypad...
Did you know that the leds should NEVER flash in cameramode.. only when using SOS; can't wait for an emergency..

I tried the dark conditions thing and initially the light stayed on. I then re-tried it a bit later and the light blinked again in exactly the same conditions - it's an o2 brnaded unlocked w810 with R4CE012.
I've literally had this gr8 phone for less than 6 hours and I kinda get the feeling, in terms of firmware updates, it's going to be the farce that dogged us K750i users all over again
I've checked for an update and it says I have the latest one.

Thats's because R4CK is not releaased all over the planet on samte time (some regions gets it erlier and some gets it later). Its have always been like that and will proceed to be like that.
