And not everyone has the luxury to buy an xbox or a ps2. I prefer my games on the pc! Also, Having went through the intricacies of xp, i would say that it is a brilliant os.

yer, but then again to update your pc to gaming spec i.e gfx card, sound card, ram, hd you may need to spend more then 300 to get a decent spec a xbox 360 is all in one box.
@ whiz- tobe honest I really dont see that as an excuse, I have bought a ps2 for £2.50 before thats not exactly very expensive
Back on topic macs vs windows

upgrading a PC is pretty simple, just remove the old card, and plug the new card in.. how easy is it on a mac? (i really dont know)

Another reason why macs are less preferred here in india is because they are expensive compared to similarly specced pcs.. And add to it the compatibility issues... I think linux is much popular than mac os x here. Just because it can be used on a pc. With macs you are stuck with one os. But that has now changed i guess!

I might be a little squewed in my opinion, as I beta teat for Apple. The new MBP units are extreamely versitile, I'm currently running a few machines in dual boot with OSX .6B and Vista Beta2, and it really is seriously fast, albiet needing 2GB of RAM.
I could wax on for hours about the virtues of mac v's ms, but at the end of the day everyone to their own. You only need to shout about your product if you have something to prove, and imo, mac has nothing to prove, it's massively superior from a general computing front.
I have a hack PPCG4 laptop that has now currently been permanetly on for 7 months without a reboot, even I am impressed, and I managed to do a techtool scan without needing to reboot, one seriously robust OS.
Think this says it all
