They probably not opt for the carl zeiss due to manufacturing costs. But im a bit miffed as to why they dropped the nightmode from the k750i although most of the functions outweigh the k750i's. They could have also delayed the orange light to stay on till the button was pressed so you can see in the dark when you are taking photos.

guys and gals remember...
1mp = 1024*xxx pix
2mp = 2048*xxx
has nothing to do with quilty only size of photo

so im told
i have a 4mp digi cam and use the 2mp size as the files are to big to veiw on a normal 17" CRT PC monitor

yes, but when you go to blow them up and print them they will be pixelated. Also, higher resolution means you can zoom in on an area and crop it without losing quality.
Don't forget, a monitor is a poor display compared to the resolution of current photo printers, so to print the image that fills your monitor to paper it will only be 4x6 inches large (roughly)

this is true but i dont print photos

so i like storage space

i do use the 4mp resalution sometimes depends on detail of photo say a photgraphy photo will use max hardware if its only a photo of family/friends people i see day 2 day will use 1mp maybe VGA or my w800i 2mp
