I reckon if anything a race based survivor will highlight how stupid racism is. Just like in the girls versus boys, often the girls ware just as tough and competent as the guys (and some times the guys are as useless as some would expect girls to be).
A race based survivor will simply show how similar people from different races are, not how different, imho.

TBH, although I know you are joking Axxxr, I think the only way we can move forward is if we push aside those obvious jokes.

I personally read the beginning and end of huge posts.
fair enough mate
@axxxr: i don't have a grudge against you. i believe you are politically naive and misguided, but there's nothing personal in that. if i was really on some sort of vendetta i would be tearing strips off you in numerous other threads - not least of which the 9/11 conspiracy thread. if it makes you feel better to believe i'm out to get you for reasons unkown there's little i can do about it, and i won't try.
btw - i was using "judeo-christian anglo americans" as a cultural rather than religious delineation - hence isolating a particular nationality rather than religion. apologies for the confusion.
now can we PLEASE get back on topic.
shall i start?....ok.
i've never been a huge fan of survivor but i do appreciate the producers' attempts to create artificial divisions between the contestants. i'm also pleased that this latest move seems to be combating rather than reinforcing racial stereotypes by emphasising the diversity in each group.

I could say exactly the same thing about you that your politically naive and misguided....and frankly i think you very much are...but thats just the difference between us...btw nothing personal mate just giving my opinion aswell.
and moving swiftly on!
I still think that a Racist Edition of Survivor is a incredibly bad idea...its not the right message to send out that racial segregation is a good thing, even in a game show!
I mean come on kids watch this stuff!

You could say the same thing about the gender survivor in that case. Personally I don't think it's an issue as the segregation isn't implying that one group is better than the other.
There is nothing wrong with "classification" per se, it's what conclusions people draw about the segregation that we should be careful about. It's not the producers of the show who might promote racism, but the participants or observers who take the segregation to mean one group is better than the other.
I think, if any member of any group makes an attempt to put down the other group becasue of their race, they will look EXTREMELY stupid in the eyes of the whole world. Hence I feel the show could actually serve to enhance people's sense that racial prejudice is a flawed concept.
