Maybe I made a mistake in my msg

The highend stuff I am saying is suppose to be IPOD.

Yes many refer music phone quality is not as good as IPOD or other mp3 player

but hey like you said, my ears can differentiate them

If you do look into some of my previous post on k750 or w800 hissing...you should note i am having a similar view like you said

Oh and to support your point

remember when MP3 was first introduced....ppl is saying...nah...the compression removed some frequency tht we can't detect and it can cause quality go down

but what happen today?

JVC, Panasonic, Yamaha, Sony etc etc have to embrace MP3.

Back to the remark...yup Music phone is having higher volume than iPOD

however if there's still ppl who like better quality "MP3"..then they will opt for iPOD hehe...but i wonder if ppl ears is so fuzzy...why don't they go back to CD or even better...turntable

I think that Walkman is better than XpressMusic, because of the trademark and the image it has on consumers. Most people got to know or hear Walkman throught their life, pushed by the Sony Ads and commercials. I don't have a Walkman phone myself, but had the chance to own one for two weeks (W550) and to me, having the brand Walkman on the phone, specially when listening to the music, made me feel like it was the best music I could hear (also because of the headphones, wich are very good). I now have a Walkman MP3 player, and when I recieved it I felt just great, thinking: this is real music, wow. Obviously I've never had an iPod, nor had a go with any Nokia XpressMusic phone; but my friend once lent me his iPod nano, and it was a very good feeling, to tell the truth.

It's like Nokia saying it is number one in the digital camera market... That always makes me laugh.

iPod's and Mobile Phones both are two separate markets. I know a lot of people who have Nano's and have an SE Walkman phone.

iPod's are great at what they're supposed to do and mobile phones do what they do - features like music/video player, GPS, Wifi are just an added experience to meet the growing technology needs of a cellphone.

I have an N91. Its a good phone, a fair music player and a OK internet device to browse with Wifi. Its definitely NOT the best in all the extra things that it does, but yes its a great PHONE! On the other hand, my 80gig iPod Video is a GOOD music/video player, a fair storage device, but a NOT SO GREAT syncing tool to keep my To-Do's, Calender events organised.

i just wanna say that you people should stop fighting about that crap ur talking about coz ur comparing two devices that has nothing to do with each other Ipod and walkman PHONES and each has it's own market and in the end if u like something just buy it, that what makes people different because they have different opinions,ok?

Yeah but it sucks at everything else. It is part of the crap N series (N70, N71, N76, N81, N90, N91) not the good N series (N73, N80, N82, N93(i), N95)

my only opinion on N91.
instead of all walkman, i like it for having the (type and find) function like in walkman 2. but walkman 2 is kinda slow, w1 is faster in navigaton (only)

and, 3.5mm port like PSP...
why the heck sony ericsson doesnt make this while the booming PSP have it? Wi-Fi? also a great thing.

one more... loudness in N91 volume (db) only.

the rest, about sound quality , video player and size, especially the "memory" speed, since its very subjective to each individual, i rather choose walkman phones. but i pretty disappointed with the recent W2 phones which omitted the play button.

i wish in the future se could finally realize it and change for the better.
(sony finally removed atrac at 1 of its latest mp3 player, after much complain for years)

lets wait for the 2 upcoming phone, k850 and w960.
luckily im a basic user of se phones.
so probably one of them will be my next phone next year...

I recently compared my frends I-Pod 60Gig to my other frend's Nokia N91-8GB and yes N91 ABSOLUTELY KILLS the I-pod, GET OVER IT! Music phones hav surpassed ipods,im glad i had chosen to get a W800 instead of a ipod 30gig cause i also found my old W800 sound to be better than both 30gig and 60gig ipods, i would HATE to have to carry more than ONE device in my pocket,especialy on holiday,my N80 does everything! I find it as using it as a music phone not as loud as my dead W900 but a lot clearer, its better than my W880. In every other thing my N80 is great i prefer it to my previous Walkmans, but that may change when W960 comes, but also that N81 is sounding better in everythng else except in camera part,its going to be VERY interesting.
Ps: current music phones are better than ipods LIVE WITH IT!

the ipod is one of the WORST stand alone DAP's. Its sound quality cannot compare with others from the likes of Sony, Iriver, Creative etc etc.... even with better headphones.

so a phone with 'exellent' sound quality wont have too much trouble in beating the ipod...
