obviously having a laptop as well but rather inconvinient to start that one up all the time, connect to network (wifi or others)
moved from BB to P990 to get the goddies, camera, mp3 etc, and yes will return to my BB if this doesnt work out, waiting for better machines
do you really mean one would have to give up stable email functions etc when buying a P990, besides all the breakdowns and bugs?

Jah,
The P990i advertising campaign said that it is a BB ready handphone. I've the brochure.
I believe that it is cheaper to use 3G in Europe than in most part of Asia where 3G cost is still prohibitive when compared to using BB.

then buy a BB if BB function is so important!
By the way I am a business person but I prefer to use an ultra portable laptop and 3G card as this is much better for me. Used my first 'business' PDA (Psion 5) in 1997 and still don't believe you can do without a laptop for serious business.

@xtemujin
as I said before, many people have been stating that BB does not work for about 6 weeks so until its fixed there is no point in using the P990 for this functionality. Microsoft even promisied Push email in WM5 last September but was not available until about 3 months later. I am being realistic - forums like this and others should be used to check the reality of products if you don't want to be disappointed unless you are an early adopter of mobile devices they are primarily a hobby and business tool second.

well folks, an update:
- Blackberry just doesnt work well, APN conflict, cfm from SE Sweden, no sync of contacts & tasks
- Changed to active sync, working seamless with little trouble so far, like the BB really but better as you can choose wifi where you have that and save GPRS traffic cost
- RAM trouble, still there but under control with Swiss mgr pro, unbeleivable that program doesnt close down when you exit them, must be solved in future firmware one would think. No reboots since SM!
- calls havent been cut off lately, suspect it has to do with BB traffic conflict
- wayfinder was not really for me, now trying TomTom - working great, must be best in class!
- still slow but I can live with that as most other problems went away with taking out BB.
- battery is a disaster with constant usage still but its my understanding there is more powerful batteries to be bought?
I'm a much happier P990 user today!
