N95 :) Now you are talking. How much free memory does it have anyway ? I think the P990i, is not exactly the pda symbian should be judged on. The s60, while it does not have screen input, is the 'real' symbian work horse. If one manage to brake away from the manufacture fanaticism and only looks at the device, then the N95 is the one. I suggest replacing 'N95' and 'Nokia' with 'P1000' and 'SE' on the device cover. :D

Man, since day one I've ALWAYS loved the look of the p990i. To be honest I love smartphones and have many preferences, BUT the P990i has been my favorite to date. I dont own one because I wanted apps to arrive - and it seems SE is sincerely helping market and coding for new apps to debut. This form factor is a proven design its been around since the Ericsson R380, the first Symbian OS phone EVER released (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ericsson_R380 ) based on EPOC Release 5.1. (NOTE: In June 1998, Psion Software became Symbian, a major joint venture between Psion and phone manufacturers Ericsson, Motorola, and Nokia. As of Release 6, EPOC became known simply as Symbian OS.)
Today while rushing to goto work - believe me if I wasnt I'd hold the guy in the crowd and check out his phone - I saw another brother slide out his stylus and start stroking the screen of his P990i. At first glance I thought it as a regular phone but I noticed that Internet "@" button and KNEW what it was.
I Couldnt BELIEVE how small it was! I'll own it one day ... After I buy 2 K790 Silver Limited Editions (one for the wife).
All I know ... thank god for Lars Magnus Ericsson!

Prom1; I owned and dis-owned one P990i lately (after waiting for 1 solid year, every day laying my prying eyes on the internet, reading 990i news) Before I get bashing from 990i lovers, i would like to say I love SE phones too but the beautiful 990i is just beautiful (to use a minimum smartphone) but cannot perform all out as a true "workhorse" simply because it suffers RAM issues. If I were you, go get the K790 enjoy it and wait for "P1000" or else get a N95 next quarter

@mario2004
I asked a Nokia representative at the Smartphone show (London) about the RAM in the N95 and he called the N95 project manager but I was told this information could not be released. I have heard that in general the Symbian 9.3 devices will have more RAM. But you probably know the CPU in the N95 is fastest Nokia have ever used for a Smartphone. By the way, it really is beautiful and has that instant visual impact that should mean it will sell in large volumes.

@prom1
besides, if you are waiting for software, just take a look at
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/ and judge for yourself the number of software rolling out for UIQ3 as compared to S60

I know what you feel mate. I appreciate everyone's opinion and can see that N95 is also fantastic phone but the heart pools me toward P990 and I can't resist it. It is so beautifull in every way. I still have amazing P910 (which is on market from today) and after that phone (P900 before) for me no other smartphone can come close to P series. P990 has so much approvement comparing to 910 so that is all that I want now. And I started counting days.....

@Jah; cpu in the N95 will be equal to the N93 or slightly faster. They've still got lots of time and from the looks of it, its INCREDIBLY fast.
@bytes, thanks for the link! I have experience in using the S60 devices. Applications on the S60 2ND Edition - even the freebies - all gone when I jump to S60 3rd Edition. If you bought apps for the P990i your investment may ALSO be gone too. My main worry of the N95 is battery life. With recent complaints with various models nokia isnt making power-per-watt efficient devices. If Nokia wants ppl to believe their marketing that the N95 is a mobile computer, or move over to WiMax in 2008, huh make these devices power efficient! As it'll take very long for a new power source to be updated & approved worldwide where this device is going to ship/be used.
@koto; Im tempted at the P990 but K790 Silver Limited Edition is for me x2 then I must get a BlackBerry unit for support at my HelpDesk.

@Prom;
sometimes I wonder lower RAM (P990i) or lower battery life (N95), which is worse?

Does the N95 have touchscreen? Because I must say this has become very important for me - it's just so nice
