@rehamer
It's POSSIBLE. but more often than not, it doesn't happen. JP people have a tendency to like to keep 'certain products' for themselves. it tends to be the 'nicer' stuff. =)~

Well I don't see a problem with SE going into fashion. Look at the brilliantly designed Z610 (ok the inside could've looked better but who cares

).
Sony influence would obviously be there, but that's not a problem as their mp3 players and laptops look so good anyway.
I agree. The Z610 is uber flashy.

Sony Ericsson needs to target wider cross sections and quit focusing on music on image alone. It needs to make fashion forward phones more trendy slides and thinner flips. In doing so it shouldn't skimp on features one of their trade marks.

I don't really like the looks of the Samsungs to be honest. Too wide and boring. Not that I love the Chocolate much either though. Bit plasticy for my liking.
The Samsung's Ultra series-edition are TRULY, bulky . . . even though it's THIN as they say

I still like their D500 and D600 models - so far !

See this is the point. Just because its a slim fashion phone doesn't mean it has to skimp on features really does it?
Undoubtedly, if 'slim is in' in 2007 then

should really make some sort of effort as it might even be bigger in 2008 and by then

it would have missed the boat.
Samsung is relying on its ultra range to be huge sellers this quarter.

May I add something similar to this one?
TBH I really don't like the looks of the Motorola (RAZR family) in everyway. Too wide (RAZR), too high (KRZR) and boring (SLVR, ROKR and others). Not that I love the Samsung Ultra Edition much either though, but technologically Samsung a step ahead Moto I guess.
