I guess it differs with everyone, but I would get the Sony if I were you - afterall sony ericsson shouldn't have a compatibility issue with its 'parent' company...or something like that

Yes, there are lots of fake MSDP, but not M2. I believe there is no fake M2 yet. The technology to falsify it is 'unreachable' as of now. Am I wrong?

I have used sandisk in the passed and dont like them
I have just tken back a sandisk 1gb back to the mobile phone shop as it crashes my phone, on trying to format the phone sits there then swicthes of and on.
tried another card and the same.
Put a sony card in and not a problem what so ever.

i've used both sony and sandisk. however when i actually purchase a card, as opposed to using the one that came with the phone, i always get sandisk. i've never had a problem with them, and i think it's a waste to pay extra just for the sony label especially when they mostly come out of the same factory. not to mention that most, if not all the fake memory sticks are branded as sony's.

How do you know if its a fake sony M2?
Mostly based on it's PRICE mate . . . at times, the packaging too! Fake ones comes in CHEAP printing material etc. You can get a FAKE one . .. as long as a one or two year WARRANTY comes along with it. But then again, getting the REAL thing is worry-FREE

My fake card was pretty impressive, laser engraving, back looked the same except some different text parts and the packaging. Shame I'm getting a refund, would have loved to crack it open.
They're getting good so I would only get cards from "proper" shops.
