W950 also plays WMV and WMA (Windows Media) formats. M600 doesn't.

No, the W950 is better for me. I use MP3s encoded at 192kbps with DBPowerAMp (not Windows Media Player)

Just discovered the SE HPM-85 headphones - with these the W950 is really loud. For me its impossible to set the volume above 80%! Also you'll notice that unlike the in-ear designs the sound reproduction is more natural as high frequencies are not over emphasised.
