T68m was made perfectly that time and then comes the Sony and Ericsson merging. To make their customers happy, they gave a free t68i upgrade.

If that was the best Ericsson could make, then they ought to go out of business. Thankfully Sony took pity on them.
Ok, it was color and nice, BUT slow, severe SW/HW probs. I had mine changed 3 times due to SW/HW failure, and not once it got any better.

To make their customers happy, they then decided to implement the SW features that were promised to be there from start, like MMS!
But just to be sure not to loose any sales on T68i, they made the originally promised SW available to us T68m owners 2months later.
I'm impressed by their generosity!

I admitt that designs of a latter date got to much of nokia over them wich shows that they were panicing but i hope they steer away from that course and find a new ericsson look. This post was posted from a R520

Oh come on.... How the hell can your T68m be 16 mnd old??? It was relased 12 1/2 months ago. And The T68m WAS NOT a finished product untill the T68i upgrade!!! End of story!

I have it upgraded, and now it's quite ok, but too much "sos calls only".

The thing about being slow and crashing, is for m version not upgraded.
And it took them half a year after release to make it what they had announced it to be.

Btw, I have a Nokia, which I'm very pleased with, but I still have my T68mi.

I just cannot believe how fast ppl seem to forget! I remember following the discussions on this forum earlier this year, before the MMS upgrade. Everyone was furious with SE for the delay, after delay, after delay... And then when they released the T68i, and still no upgrade... I thought ppl here would just explode with anger!!

Two months later the upgrade finally reached the surface and everyone was happy again and continued to worship Ericsson/SE like nothing had happened...
This is just waaaay beyond my comprehention...

Thats right. SE is good, because when T68 was hitting the market no other phone had the same feature. Now 1 year later the other phones got color and blue tooth This post was posted from a T300

Do you know guys how Nokia made a phone?

I am not from Nokia and I will tell you guys how they do it.

for 33xx series

3310 - original release by nokia
3330 - 3310 with wap browser
3315 - 3310 with upgraded software
3350 - new model 3310 uses this board

the difference?

3330 they add memory
3315 they only upgrade software (just like T68 to T86i)
3350 same with 3330 but with different keypad, lcd and software upgrade (actually you can upgrade yourself 3330 to 3350)

then tell your friends at Nokia, How them made 6250, 6310i, 8250, 8310, 88xx, 8910i!

I agree that they will release a lot of phone next year (expect the software ugrade )

I will stick to my R520, at least I got everything exept color LCD and MMS.
