The pyramids have been explained, they aren't exactly a mystery anymore are they? They are huge tombs now believed to have been built by rural workers.

Yes we think they have been explained,im still not convinced though how 1000 Ton rocks could be moved and placed so accurately without any wheels or lifting equipment available at the time...you have to take account the Size,accuracy and perfect symmetry of the Pyramids...its still very much a mystery as far as im concerned.

Maybe so but that still doesn't explain how the giant rocks were lifted into position without any Cranes or lifting equipment?
I remember watching a programme on Discovery about how the Pyramids, were built and a bunch of scientists tried to create what they thought was used to lift the rocks...which was a makeshift crane made from wood and rope,they used a rock weighing a quarter of what is actually used on the Pyramids and yet the crane just snapped in half...all their calculations were wrong,..so my question is if modern day scientists can get it so wrong how did the ancient egyptians many thousands of years ago get it so perfect?

While I'm thinking that the books are overly exagerrated, what's not to say that there was a race of bigger people that often bullied the 'littler' races?

Thats what I said before. Humans were much smaller in the past and no doubt there were some races that were taller than others. I think each have their own myths and legends - leprechauns spring to mind.
