Hi All,
I must say i have used E-Bay for ages but you certainly have to be careful what you do, never send anything to a non confirmed Pay Pal address,
always send RMSD i f possible. If you are expecting a large box don't sign for a letter. I have some bits to sell but am just not so keen on E-Bay any more and i have a 144+ with only 1- from some one who received the wrong size didn't tell me just left neg well there's always one.
The biggest worry is that apparently even a lot of the power sellers are actually selling fake goods at near proper prices. Loot used to be good but the last time i looked was pretty thin, i may just list them here even though the prices are always at the low end at least its safer than E-Bay. Not forgetting there and Paypal's fees.

@ Sammyboy
I feel your pain man. Thanks for sharing your hardship however as I'll definately take into cosideration your experience. Confirmed mailing addresses only and perhaps a required signature on the receiving end. I wonder how long is an appropriate time to hold a payment before you can consider it as your own free and clear.

Ive used ebay and paypal for years. Never had a problem. But if i sell no less than 10 feedback, and specify they are a confirmed paypal user. If u think someone looks dodgy, remove their bid. Try not to sell mobiles as they attract scammers!

I have a question for you ebayers, i feel ebay have charged me for something i have not sold! This is what happened:
I advertised a Laptop, which ended with a buyer who had 0 feedback.
He mailed asking how he can pay, to which i replied. After a few days payment did not come through, i contacted ebay saying payment not received which opens a dispute console, then the buyer replied on the dispute console saying payment already sent! Then ebay closed the console and charged me over £15 saying i've sent the item and that he's paid, i still have the laptop!!!
What can i do now? Been scammed by a
B@stard.

Not sure what you can do PK, apart from email Ebay regarding that dispute and reinforce you did not sent the laptop or recieve payment, and challenge the buyer to produce proof of delivery to prove he recieved it. It sounds like Ebay's been unduely harsh with you, believing a zero rated bidder over a more experienced ebayer!
This buyer I'm having a problem with had a 35 feedback, and 1 neg I think, he's since gotten another neg and a neutral that should've been a neg and suddenly decided his card had been used fraudulently!

@Sammy_boy, problem is that the guy who said he paid is no longer registered on Ebay. I have contacted ebay many times via the online procedure and they have not responded! Really pissin me off.
Is there a number that i can call or a place where i can complain?

@Hutchy - Glad you've had the resolution you've been wanting, and that that moron's been banned, bet you're feeling relieved now!
@PK - I think there is a phone number for Ebay you can ring, but not sure what it is, it's not advertised very well at all. All I can suggest is to keep contacting them over this issue and hopefully they'll get annoyed at you constantly emailing and at least reply to you!

Peter,
Unless you are a Power Seller, you won't be able to ring Ebay. There is no phone number, all you will get back is automated replies.
