Hi all ! Just read a response from Sony Ericsson Developer site that the hiss noise on W810 will be fixed in a future firmware upgrade "probably before December".

This is the link;

So i guess there is hope after all !

Hi all, I have some very bad news to share with you guys.

There won't be a firmware upgrade that will fix the hizz bug on existing handsets.
The information I got about the hizz bug was not totally accurate and this is my fault for not checking this information extra carefully, I will not make the same misstake again.
I am truly sorry about this and I am sorry for giving you guys false hope as well.
I will try though to escalate this to a higher level in the organisation.
This is bad.....

HI all
I have some good news as well.
The hiss bug is not present in the new line of models ( W850, K800/K790, K610...).
So there is some light to this issue.

Cheers

So, good, he says the new phones don't have the issue. But, in fact they do. The W850i has the same issue. So great, we can all go out and buy the new Bond phones. But, Sony won't fix the hiss on the W810i. Sony can go to hell. I am not going to buy their new Bond phones for a fix. Not to mention that they will just release a new firmware update for them that causes a hiss (if it doesn't have it already) right after they release the Bond2 phones. Then they will tell us to go buy the Bond2 phones, until Bond3 comes out and the cycle continues.

F Sony. Die Sony. Hurry up and die. Your founder is dead, and now you are run by a bunch of suits who don't give a shit about you. Just themselves.

Some say it does, some say it doesn't. But, either way. Is Sony going to give me one to fix my W810i? Nope. F U Sony.

I don't have this issue with my W810i. It only makes a small "popping" sort of noise when turning it on and off and sometimes when changing tracks. But I think these are just characteristics of a phone, because my old Nokia 6230i used to do the same.

It looks like the 'true' SE fans have no issues, only the 'normal' customers have one :D Moral of the story - become a fan and you won't hear the Hissing :D

Dicen my boy..... I might have missed the Sony Ericsson's developers follow-up when he retracted and apologized for not having the correct info, but does that make me "that stupid" ???? !!! I think the Esato Forum moderators should do something about editing this kind of insults, curses directed at fellow members and Sony Ericsson.
