always with thumb or finger! stylus only for gaming en browsing. I do have a screen protector, makes it more robust and makes me worry less

i also almost never use the stylus. much less than i did on my p910. alot of the menus on uiq3 seem to be designed for you to use your thumb instead of the stylus. eg bigger icons. another reason i dont worry about using my dirty mits is that SE surely dont expect us to get the stylus out to answer the phone?
i defiantly believe the touchscreen is meant to be touched!

I use fingers and stylus... depend on the situation. when i want to make a phonecall.. the fingers will do the work.. to put in the conversation into speakerphone.. etc. browsing is much easier using stylus since sometimes there are small link that u can't touch with your finger.

Nail all the time apart from entering on virtual keyboard,...
BUT.... my p8 & p9 both showed wear over that keyboard area after a year or so of use making direct sunlight use a problem seeing the charactors so i have an overlay protector on p990 to increase life of the screen, funny thing is its the areas that the pen was used most that show the most wear, the nice thing about the p990 is that afer the overlay is fitted you can bring the screen brightness up a little to counter affect the slight darkening effect.
Tip, my local stationary chain "Staples" often have overlay packs for old models of PDA's lying in reduced bins for a couple of pounds a pack of ten, i make a paper template for my P990 & cut these cheap overlays down, its very cost effective. one pack has done me 3 years. because the various P series phones screens are always smaller than most PDA's.

Sometimes I use my finder, just the back of the nail. I got a screen protector, so I am not worried about it.

i don't suppose you went back to the club and said "Excuse me mister, has anyone handed in a small plastic stylus thing for my phone"

I usually make use of the stylus.
That's what its intented for and that's why its there.
The first when I got my P990 is have a screen
protector on it right away. I experienced one time when
my 2 year old nephew shockingly scribbled on my
Treo650 screen with a broad black pentel pen he must had seen me using my stylus on my phone and taught its also the same when he'll use it with a pen. (at least he didn't wrote something on my casing just the touhscreen hahahaha Thank God!) Luckily I had a screen protector on it. Just take it out and replaced a new one.
Imagine it was even a permanent ink pen
So, that's why I made sure I had a screen protector on my P990
the minute I bought it.
Feel helpless without a stylus to use on my touchscreen but
Once in awhile I would poke the touchscreen with my fingers if
I'm really, really in a hurry to bother taking out the stylus
