Only plastic problem I've experienced is that the plastic above the 'Web' button (on the right side) makes a click-ish sound when you press on it. Kinda disturbing when you think you're pressing the key and instead hit the plastic and think you pressed the key... Quite convenient to remap that key to the Task Manager, btw. I use it much more than Opera.

The battery cover is partly made from PC/ABS plastic, the black inside part and the lower outside part. The rest is brushed aluminium, i.e. a metal.
