Why is everybody focused on the cam? Is that really so important?

N93 is the speed it is due to a serious processor speed hike, from 220Mhz(N73/N80/N91) to 330Mhz.......

A Windows-based device would need 400Mhz to keep up!

@Boba- no, it's not about the camera but the overall product. You have to admit though that it (camera) has been used effectively as a profit generating marketing tool. My main concern is the gap between the flagship model and the cybershot one in terms of camera. Other than that give the flagship what it deserves- FLAGSHIP SPECS.

@Luke and all,
I am not talking about how fast the processor speed has made it, i am talking about the last firmware upgrade that has made the whole UI really fast no delay or lag on doing anything. This was already a lot faster than anything UIQ3 can offer but recently just got turbo charged.

I also wouldn't be too concerned about Camera's being added to UIQ3 devices just yet as they face other more serious problems that need resolving. Whilst some of you may consider Nokia's to lack style, their build quality especially on High end phones is what most manufacturers should aspire to and in a different league to the plastic P990 where the colour rub's off the casing within a couple of months and creaks everywhere. Also lets not forget that with 2 Firmware revisions already released i now have a rock solid and stable device that can actually multitask without shutting down lots of apps and also when apps close they release the Ram they were using not forgetting it doesn't suffer from the memory leaks either. Something SE would do well to emulate so they could appease all there very unhappy customers. I also thought this thread was meant to be about the N95 not the fiasco that is UIQ3.

Thanks for clarifying that, Marc....I was under the imperession that your 'jump' was from N73 to N93, not f/w version to f/w version......
OT: can you tell me whether Nokia did manage to include A2DP in the new N93 f/w?? Thanks in advance.....

Back to topic: For all it's greatness, I've heard that the N95 GPS is only accurate to 10m(i.e not very), due to hardware restrictions........can anyone confirm this??
Apart from that, cool S60 slider......I wouldn't say massively better than N93 tho......

@Dogmann- this thread is about the n95! What good would this thread be if we don't consider what the competition needs to do to equal or beat this well specced phone? This phone keeps us anticipating of good things it is likely to bring us from the competition. We're not living in a confined space as not to look at the overall picture.

@boba
the cam on a phone is the selling point for most consumers who dont know phones like us
so the better the cam, the more likely people will buy it just coz it has more mp
