@bobafett

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's probably very good for scraping the ice from your car-windscreen.

If this had autofocus then I probably would have gone out and bought it without hesitation.

Its fair to say that has attracted a whole new market with this phone and no doubt there will be more slimmies in the pipeline.

BTW - What would you liked to have seen announced by at 3GSM?

I agree about connectivity: one phone with quad band GSM + 3G + edge + of course GPRS, bluetooth, infrared and why not wlan too. But in the size and perhaps the look like K610i...

I am hoping will come up with something soon. They need to expand their M series and get them out quick. A few people are hopeful will deliver a couple of new business solutions this week.

3GSM - Symbian, Sony Ericsson urge cheaper Mobile Web

By Lucas van Grinsven

BARCELONA, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Mobile phone software maker Symbian and phone maker Sony Ericsson said on Monday mobile operators need to make wireless Internet services cheaper to appeal to more consumers.

Sales growth of the more expensive and high-margin phone models has slowed in the third and fourth quarter, especially in Western Europe, hitting mobile phone makers such as Nokia, Motorola and Samsung.

More in the link.

I agree. Its about time someone pointed this out. Operators forget that it takes two to tango.

Greater use of data reliant functions on devices - such as email, intenet etc, depends on comprehensive data packages. One doesn't drive the other but they go hand in hand. Its about time they realised this or will take a total drop off in high-end handset sales in order for them to realise it.
