SE-Unlock, that's great news, and you're a big man for posting it, all things considered! Seriously, thanks for that. In all honesty, if you'd been down the road rather than in Scotland I'd have sent my phone to you weeks ago, it's only geography that lead to this
@seunlock-uk,
You are indeed a big man for helping us out. Very very much appreciated mate. As Boinng said, it's just a geographical factor for many of us here. Now, this is why I love this forum so much. The people here are just so helpful. Hope this will continue in years to come. Cheers.

hi there!
quick question, on the instructions it says to press and hold 'c' on the phone until it says it is connected..........what button does that relate to on the m600i as i cannot see a 'c' button ?????
hope you can help!
I used the Back button on the side of the phone, i think the delete key works as well?!

Try "c"
as in zx"c"vbnm
Hope this helps!
wouldn't want to doubt you (!) but on a p990 'c' is a dedicated button.....rather than a 'c' on the keyboard behind!
but the M600i doesn't have a dedicated 'c' as far as I can see
but thanks, I will try it !

You must use the only 'C' key available on the keyboard, the one with letters X/C and number 7 ! Obviously you press the key on the right side as you want write a 'C' char.

@boyo69
You can't press the dedicated "c" button on a p990i when the flip is sat in your desk drawer as it ceases to function when removed from the phone!
in which case you would use the "C" button on the qwerty just as you would on the M600 !
Hope you sorted it anyway mate!

On the P990i, and the M600i it is most reliable and best practice to use the C button on the keyboard. This is a dedicated button on the QWERTY on the P990i, and it is the Right option of a button on the M600i.
Try to use the keyboard C instead of the "cancel, C" as it is generally more reliable.
Just my $.02

@seunlock:
I've flashed with SEUS about 5 times, always used the flip C button (not the qwerty one) and have had no problems except once when I got a bad download. (I blame Zone Alarm Pro for that...)
How do you mean more reliable? Some people have even reported success holding down ANY button...

We do lots of handsets, some you can hold pretty much any button, some you can hold the "cancel, C" it all depends, what I mean is that NO MATTER what handset we have worked on the universal button that has ALWAYS allowed for the upgrade mode detection is the C on the keyboard itself, on the P990i and M600i.
You can use any button you please on your handset it may well, work, but if it doesn't work at some point then you can always just use the C button on the keyboard, as I say it has ALWAYS worked for us.
It's not a big deal as I say all handsets vary, most of them it dosn't matter what button you press.

Hi all,
I just flashed my M600i (from vodafone). Although the general advice seems to be not to do so, I went against this and restored a backup. So far all seems to be OK.
Obviously my own stupid fault if it is not..
Cheers
